For residents with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s or other dementia-related conditions, Vi at Silverstone provides a structured, comfortable environment within our care center. Our memory support setting helps residents adapt to their environment. We use a person-centered approach, and memory cues, to instill a sense of familiarity. Our programs and events also encourage daily connection. All of these tools have a purpose: to stimulate memory and provide residents with meaningful experiences. Memory support care includes:
- A service plan based on an individual evaluation
- Assistance with activities of daily living including: dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and ambulating
- A specialized dining experience
- Coordination of medical appointments and health care needs
- Medication administration
- Group-oriented and one-on-one programs
- Structured programming designed to encourage physical and cognitive exercise, and provide appropriate stimulation
- 24 hour staff available to assist residents with scheduled and unscheduled needs
Memory Support Services and Amenities
The memory support program features comfortable, private residential rooms and an inviting family room plus a family-style dining room. Comfort is of utmost importance, that is why we offer a range of services and amenities, including three meals each day, prepared under supervision of our executive chef, weekly light laundering of bed and bath linens, and daily housekeeping.
To help our residents stay engaged, we offer a variety of specialized programs and activities. These activities, developed to suit a broad range of interests and abilities, are designed to promote a sense of engagement and well-being, while helping residents stay as independent as possible.
Support for Families
Seeing a loved one with Alzheimer's or other dementia-related conditions can be daunting. To help with the transition, Vi at Silverstone helps families with the educational resources needed to familiarize themselves with the dementia process. Care center staff also refers families to support groups in their area, and invites speakers to come into the community to help families learn more about dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Fees for Continuing Care Residents
When an independent living resident is contracted with Vi for continuing care, monthly fees do not increase as a result of moving to the care center. The only extra costs are for additional meals and ancillary items received in the care center.
Fees for Spouses in Independent Living
If a resident and their spouse are both contracted for continuing care at Vi, and only one resident requires a higher level of care, one spouse will remain in the independent living home when the other moves to the care center. Both continue to pay only independent living monthly fees plus charges for additional meals and ancillary items received in the care center.
